Memorex of all brands has come out with a portable dvd player, the MVDP1085-FLRB portable DVD player, is $149 and has a crappy two hours of internal battery among other features. The MVDP1085-FLRB DVD player features an 8.4-inch swiveling widescreen LCD display and 16:9 widescreen aspect ratio. It plays all writable and re-writable DVD and CD formats, and includes built-in stereo speakers. Its good.
Haier recently presented its HPD-UMPDP7 portable DVD player during Canton Fair 2007. The DVD player features a 7-inch LCD, MS/MMC/SD Card Jack, USB Jack. There is not much information on what is the mode of operation but it is revealed that HPD-UMPDP7 plays MP4 files besides DVD, CDs and VCD’s.
LG has come up with their own version of digital photo frame, introducing LG DP889 Digital Picture Frame/DVD Player. But this time, their DP889 unit not only features an 8-inch LCD display but also has an integrated DVD player. It also comes with a 3-in-1 memory card slot, built-in speakers and dual headphone jacks. The supplied battery pack provides up to 3 1/2 hours of playback.
